Harvest Moon: Save the Homeland was released in 2000 on the Playstation 2 console. This game represented the first major change of direction in the series. The game takes place in a new village, complete with all new characters, and an entire new approach to gameplay. Rather than working to build the most successful farm, you are needed to save the village. The game offers 9 different endings with a replay feature that allows you to keep all of the gold you've made once you have completed the game a first time!
