Walkthroughs/FAQs

Fishing is a very profitable way to spend your time in A Wonderful Life. You can sell your fish to Van when he visits the town on the 3rd and 8th of each month, and can make thousands of gold by doing it!

First, you need a Fishing Pole. This can be purchased from Van for 500G, and is a very good investment. There are several places you can fish. You can fish in the pond in Turtle Swamp, the pond in the Spring area, and in various spots of the river (although they are categorized as either upstream or downstream). Each area has different types of fish, but some fish can be caught in several areas. The following is a list of the types of fish, how much you can sell them to Van for, and where you can find them.

When fishing, be prepared to wait anywhere from 10-60 seconds. It can take some time for the fish to start biting, but once they do you're sure to have a catch. The fish usually has a few small nibbles before it actually bites. Once you see a large splash, wait about a second or two after the initial splash before hitting A. If you hit A too fast, you'll lose the fish and have to start over. Typically, you will catch more of the cheaper fish, such as Snelt and Colombo, but the larger fish are not too uncommon. One way to tell if you have caught a big fish is the length of time it takes to reel it in. The more common, smaller fish take a short time, while the larger, rarer fish can take up to 10-15 seconds to reel in.
